A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood....

It is probably the most lovely spring day we've had yet. These last few days were the windiest I've seen in a while. All my potted plants were bowled over and some of the trees leaves are beat up from being whipped around. But today it's so pretty, I really have had a tough time staying inside and working on my second painting.

My favorite spot in the yard....

Ground cover makes a garden....

Garden tip of the week:
(pillbug left and sowbug right)
Did you know that the little many legged bugs known as the sow bug or pill bug is actually two different bugs? They are also NOT pests as many think, but a beneficial. Here's what the Western Garden problem solver says: 'Pillbugs and Sowbugs are often wrongly blamed for chewing holes in strawberries and flowers, since daylight finds them curled up in a hole that was already chewed by snails, slugs, or nocturnal insects. They prefer to munch on decaying vegetation, which is why they are often found near damaged fruits or foliage.'
Interesting, huh?

Gotta get going!
God bless!

Chrissie
